Termálturizmus Zemplénben

A Zempléni-hegység lábánál, Sárospatak - Sátoraljaújhely térségében található az ország egyik legnagyobb geotermikus energia vagyona. Sárospatak-Végardó fürdője a 300 méteres mélységből feltörő mélykarszt eredetű termálkincsre épült, 1975-ben ásványvízzé nyilvánították. A termálfürdő 47-48 0C-os kálcium-magnézium, nátrium-szulfát, hidrogén-karbonát tartalmú termálvize gyógyulást kínál az izületi és érrendszeri megbetegedésben szenvedőknek. Nőgyógyászati panaszok enyhítésére is alkalmas, sőt ivókúraként is alkalmazható.

A termálvíz gyógyhatásának mérésére klinikai vizsgálatokat végeztek, s magas sótartalma és ionösszetétele, valamint a kedvező tapasztalatok alapján javasolták a víz gyógyvízzé nyilvánítását. A város tulajdonában lévő fürdőben a termálvizű medence mellett úszó - és gyermekmedence, valamint szolgáltatóegység is található.

A vízforgatóval ellátott úszómedencét és tanmedencét télen sátorral fedik és termálvízzel fűtik, így az egész évben használható (Tel: 47/311-639) A fürdő területén faházas, sátorhelyes camping, étterem és bazársor áll a pihenni vágyók rendelkezésére. (Tel: 47/311-510)

A termálfürdő szomszédságában található a 3 csillagos Tengerszem Camping mely üdülőházakkal, élősövénnyel elválasztott sátor- és lakókocsihelyekkel várja a természetet kedvelő vendégeket. (Tel: 47/312-744)

Zemplén turisztikai régióban Abaújszántó strand és gyógyfürdője a nyári időszakban a felüdülés mellett az izületi fájdalom és csonttörés utókezelésére is szolgál. (Tel: 47/330-019).

Gönc fürdőjének (Tel: 46/388-022) egyszerű vasas vize van, Kékeden pedig nyáron strandfürdő (Tel: 46/388-022) üzemel.

Thermal Tourism in Zemplén

Along the foot of the Zemplén Mountains in the district of Sárospatak and Sátoraljaújhely, there is one of the largest geothermal energy supplies of the country.

The Sárospatak-Végardó Thermal Bath has its karst-water from as deep as 300 metres and it was declared mineral water in 1975. The water of 47-48 C contains calcium-magnesium, sodium-sulphate and hydrogen-carbonate, which ensure its curative power for diseases of joints and vascular system. It relieves the gynaecological problems and patients are advised even to drink it. There have been clinical tests conducted to demonstrate the curative effect of the water and owing to its high content of minerals and ions and based on the favourable results it was suggested being declared medicinal water.

The bath now belongs to the city and it has a swimming pool and a smaller pool for children, complete with service premises. The swimming pool with a water recirculation is covered in winter and filled with thermal water, so it can be used all around the year. Right next to the bath, the 'Tengerszem' campsite invites the guests, who are fond of nature, with wooden houses and separate spaces for caravans and tents. (Phone: +36-47-312-744)

Another strand and medicinal bath in the Zemplén region can be found in Abaújszántó, which provides swimming in summer, but also beneficial for diseases of joints and for a follow-up treatment after fracture of bones. (Phone: +36-47-330-019).

The bath in Gönc has a water with iron content (Phone: +36-46-388-022) and the one in Kéked is an open-air pool (Phone: +36-46-388-022).
